What outpatient rehab is
Treatment that fits around your life
Outpatient rehab lets you live at home while receiving structured addiction treatment. For some people it’s the next step down from residential care; for others it’s the right place to start. Either way, it’s real clinical treatment, not a watered-down version of recovery.
At Natural State Recovery Centers, outpatient care comes in levels, so the intensity matches where you are: partial hospitalization for the most structure, intensive outpatient for a lighter footprint, and standard outpatient (OP) for ongoing support. We build in life skills, career development, and vocational learning, because recovery has to work in the real world. And treatment ending isn’t goodbye. People keep coming back to meetings and alumni nights, and everyone still asks how you’re doing.
How it works
Finding the right level, then stepping down
Outpatient care is built to flex. You start at the level that fits and ease down as recovery steadies.
Assessment
A free, confidential call and clinical assessment to recommend the right outpatient level: PHP, IOP, or standard outpatient (OP).
Partial hospitalization (PHP)
The most structured outpatient option: 30 hours of weekly programming with therapy, wellness, and peer support.
Intensive outpatient (IOP)
12 hours of weekly programming focused on relapse prevention, counseling, and life skills.
Outpatient & life skills
Ongoing therapy and MAT, plus vocational learning and career development. The job, the schooling, the steady ground that recovery is for.

Real treatment, around your real life.

Questions & answers
Common questions about outpatient rehab
What’s the difference between PHP and IOP?
Both let you live at home. PHP (partial hospitalization) is the most structured, around 30 hours of programming a week. IOP (intensive outpatient) is lighter, around 12 hours a week. Many people step from PHP down to IOP as they progress.
Can I keep working during outpatient rehab?
Often, yes, especially at the IOP and standard outpatient levels. We build schedules to fit around work and family, and we add life-skills and career-development support to help recovery hold up in daily life.
Is outpatient treatment as effective as inpatient?
For the right person, yes. Outpatient is ideal when home is stable and use is less severe, or as a step-down after residential care. Your assessment recommends the level that gives you the best chance, and you can move between levels as needed.
