About Nihit
Dr. Nihit Kumar is committed to providing every patient at NSRC a solid opportunity to transform their lives through a deep understanding of addiction and the development of sustainable recovery skills. As Medical Director, he oversees all medical aspects of treatment, supervises the nursing team, and directs the development of clinical policies to ensure high-quality patient care. With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Kumar is Board Certified in Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. A Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and a former board member for NAMI Arkansas, his professional dedication is informed by personal experience with family members struggling with addiction. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.
