About Misty

Misty Evans is committed to ensuring that every client completing detoxification or residential treatment transitions into the next stage of their recovery journey with a comprehensive and individualized plan. In her role as a Discharge Planner, she collaborates closely with medical and clinical teams to coordinate essential continuity of care, including sober living placements and referrals for ongoing therapy or medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Misty leverages seven years of experience in the recovery field, including her previous role as a Peer Recovery Supervisor, to reduce the risk of relapse and provide unwavering support for those navigating early recovery.

A nationally certified Peer Recovery Specialist and Peer Recovery Supervisor, Misty’s professional dedication is deeply informed by her own journey in long-term recovery. Having personally experienced the uncertainty and fear of leaving treatment, she is driven by the mission to ensure no one feels lost or unsupported when stepping back into the world. Outside of her work at NSRC, Misty enjoys camping and immersing herself in nature. She is guided by the belief that "one day at a time, we get to live a beautiful life," a philosophy she shares with clients as they take small, meaningful steps toward a future they never thought possible.
