The summer months can be a difficult time for those in recovery. More time is spent outdoors at the lake, cookouts, and pool parties where the relaxed atmosphere encourages alcohol consumption and even drug use. One of the best ways to have a successful summer is to surround yourself with a support network that understands and respects your commitment to recovery. In order to nurture such a support network, Natural State Recovery Centers hosted a clean and sober Independence Day celebration and welcomed everyone in recovery.
Floats and Fireworks 2023, in partnership with Graves Memorial Baptist Church, was a success! Natural State Recovery Centers opened its campus for this free event for the community which over 900 people attended. In attendance were Natural State Recovery Centers alumni with their families, members of the Graves Church congregation, and friends and neighbors around the Oak Grove area. Natural State Recovery Centers provided the music and entertainment, free parking, volunteers, and ice cream floats. Graves Memorial Baptist Church secured the community sponsors (listed below) for the spectacular fireworks show. Whether enjoying the free popcorn and snow cones, chatting with friends, or line dancing to the music, the event was fun and fellowship for all.
